Before ascending the throne as the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, built a distinguished career across multiple sectors of Nigeria’s economy, including mining, construction, hospitality, real estate, and commodities trading.

A seasoned entrepreneur and investor, he played a pivotal role in facilitating the establishment of Nigeria’s first lead and aluminum recycling plant, contributing to the development of the country’s industrial and resource value chain. He was also actively involved in Nigeria’s rice industry and engaged in the trading and marketing of commodities for major conglomerates, including the Dangote Group and other leading enterprises.

In the real estate and infrastructure space, he led significant dredging and land reclamation projects in Lagos, helping to expand urban development opportunities in one of Africa’s fastest-growing cities.
